Moët Hennessy is luxury. Known for its French cognac, upscale vodka Belvedere and champagnes like Dom Perignon and Moet & Chandon. Now the LVMH conglomerate can add tequila to its list of evert growing spirits empire.
In partnership with The Gallardo family, Volcan De Mi Terra was born out of the region around Tequila, Jaliso, in Mexico. The “land of Tequila” spirit is available in two expression, Blanco and Cristalino, and made from volcanic soil along with agave to produce a smooth and sweet taste with a satisfactory finish.
Having the opportunity to taste Blanco (Spanish for “white”) our first thought was this is well suited for a warm afternoon or a turnt up weekend brunch. Clear-colored, thanks to unaged or mildly aged tequila, notes such as citrus, pear and tart cherry deliver a vibrant punch while herbaceous notes anchor and stabilizes it from becoming too sweet and finally a hint of spicy hits the back of one’s throat and brings the taste full circle.
Either on the rocks or straight up makes sure to savor the taste while ingesting the history behind the drink. Pour gingerly and drink responsibly!
