Clearly one of Hollywood’s best dressed men Michael B. Jordan arrives at each and every event, premiere and talk show appearance sharply dressed thanks to stylist Jeff K. Kim. Aware that style makes the man and the importance of wearing the garments as a second skin, Kim, who is also responsible for dressing director Ryan Coogler, is the latest cover story from The Hollywood Reporter.
Excerpts from the interview includes:
Dressing Jordan in a silver Calvin Klein suit for the :L.S. premiere of Creed star: “It gave the illusion that it was aluminum,” says Kim, who met the actor on a magazine shoot in 2013. Laughs Jordan: “I gave some resistance on that one. But I have grown over the past year and built up the nerve to start taking risks.” Another “immaculate” look was Jordan’s deep green, embroidered Dolce &Gabbana three-piece suit for the Met Ball.
Styling men: Kim, who started in PR for Nicole Miller, says there are way fewer options for guys but that his motto is “classic elegance with a twist.” And while it’s often tough to stay innovative, Kim says he’s “never one to run from a challenge.”
