This weekend cozy up with a wicked Old Fashioned from iconic Cognac brand Grand Marnier Cordon Rouge!
There is always time for a cocktail, whether it be Happy Hour, brunch or boys night out, and this weekend we are celebrating November thanks to our friends at Grand Marnier Cordon Rouge. Created in 1880 by Louis-Alexandre Marnier Lapostolle, the “original brown spirit” is perfect for its orange flavor, thanks to Cognac, bitter orange essence, neutral spirit and sugar, and the main ingredient in the featured cocktail: the Grand Old Fashioned.
Light amber in hue, the liqueur’s initial aroma is a balance of orange peel and brandy and once settled a heavy, earthy scent is present; in part adds to the juxtaposition of bitter, sweet and spicy upon initial tasting. With the ability to mix extremely well with others spirits, pair with desserts and compliment dark chocolates for an after dinner delight, on the rocks or by itself.
Elegant, charming and masculine, gentlemen, I present this week’s cocktail: The Grand Marnier Old Fashioned
