Texas born crooner Leon Bridges is a leading man in Maxim’s November 2015 issue.
Charming, soulful and humbled are a few ways to describe singer-songwriter Leon Bridges. Posing for Maxim’s November 2015 issue, the 26 year-old musician, who has been riding high since the release of his Columbia Records debut Coming Home, plays dress up in designer ensembles while being shot by Luis Sanchis. As versatile as each image, Bridges evokes the soul of 1960s through a number of looks, including heavy, patterned suiting, warm tones knits and rugged footwear from Etro, Jil Sander and Feni set to a minimalist hotel room.
In a brief excerpt, Bridges explains how he felt when Quincy Jones attended his 26th birthday party in Switzerland:
“He was telling me stories about working with a 16-year-old Ray Charles. And I was like, What is my life right now? How did I get here? Wasn’t I just washing dishes, like, yesterday?”
and the Sam Cooke comparisons:
“It’s like when people say LeBron is the next Jordan. The only thing those two have in common is they’re both good at basketball.”
