Eccentric heartthrob Miguel is a leading man for The Guardian’s latest digital fashion spread.
Smooth, talented and irresistible are a few way to describe musician Miguel. Shot by photographer Lado Alexi for The Guardian, the Waves crooner plays dress up, for stylist Jane Taylor-Hayhurt, in designer trousers, knits and outerwear by Balmain, Haider Ackermann and Kit Neale and shows off a more sensual and electrifying side to his already eccentric personality.
In a brief excerpt, Miguel reveals he was a late bloomer and how religion dictated his teen years:
“My mother was really into her religion, and I was, too, to be honest with you. But at the same time I was torn, because as a kid you want to do things. And my mom was very keen on keeping me away from temptation. I was not a part of the social scene in high school. I wasn’t going to parties, I wasn’t drinking, I wasn’t smoking, I definitely wasn’t smoking weed, I wasn’t having sex. Late bloomer. Really late bloomer.”
