It’s official: Sportswear is the new BLACK and designer Carlos Campos is exploring this arena in his new Spring/Summer2015 effort. The collection is different from what we have preciously seen from the designer. Stepping back from the intricate tailoring, that he is so revered for, Campos creates a world where the ideal man integrates utilitarian manners into his wardrobe; heavily influenced by exciting events like racing; and focused on mixing formality with relaxed comfort. Bold lines are imported onto structual shirting, sharp tailoring incorporated into flat front shorts and trousers and rich fabrics are manipulated into tailored jackets and outerwear. No bright hues are found as the new man has reverted back to tones of black and white with a graphic design or two. Directional in style and theory, the Carlos Campos gentleman makes Spring/Summer look easy breezy!
