Designers of white ceramic, furniture and notebooks, Astier de Villatte, have teamed up with design house Commune de Paris 1871 to create an exclusive red, white and blue porcelain candle. Taking a cue from Astier de Villatte’s tricolor cube pattern (think Pierre Hardy but celebrating French’s nationalism), the candle is comprised primarily of citrus with supporting notes of nutmeg, benjamin gum, green almond as well as coumarin.
Packaged in a white box mapped with different locations, paying homage to Astier de Villatte’s other scents, including Broadway. Afterwards there is no need to toss the container; it makes for a beautiful porcelain cup in which to hold your shaving equipment, toothbrushes or even a bouquet of freshly cut flowers.
Available for a limited time, be sure to pick one up at Commune de Paris 1871. Retails for around $140 USD.
